So we are in week three now, rehearsals of Top Hat, and I've been working really hard with the ensemble, and also Mikako san and Masa san （字幕翻译很鸡毛丁寧的把Masa san的名字放前面.....感到了文化巨差x
It is really exciting to see the progression that everybody has made. So if I rewind to three weeks ago, everyone was looking at me like “What?” LoL. They couldn't believe how fast the tap was. But 3 weeks on, we've actually just done Act I, and it's looking fantastic, it's so exciting. Everybody's feet, they're working so fast that there were sparks coming off the floor LoL. They are getting the style as well, and Bill's style is very specific in the show. It is all starting to come together. Actually when we ran top part it pulled a bit of a tear to my eye, it's really looking special.
Masa San and Mikako San, their chemistry is building everyday, the duets are really coming together. They have big shoes to fill, Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, they are huge roles. They are doing it.
Mikako has a beautiful quality about her, she has got class, and obviously she is a beautiful girl. She is so lovable. And lovely to work with as well, she is really mixing with the cast well.
Masa San is such a pro, he has so much charm. He is guiding Mikako around that floor, and he really is a real lead. Everybody looks up to Masa San, he is wonderful.
We are having so much fun in the rehearsal room, we are having so much laughs as well and working extremely hard, but it is paying off. It is going to be fantastic.
